In the beginning was the Word
And we know that He was God,
But we also know that the world
Didn’t know Him from the start.

His purpose was to be the light,
To be the light for every man
And as He came down here on earth
He shone brighter than the sun.

And as the world rejected Him
We know, his people did the same,
But to everyone that received Him
The right to be God’s sons, He gave them.

They’re born not by the will of men
And also not by their own will;
Not by blood, ‘cuz all of them
Were born by God’s own will.
