1. If you would be a pillar in the church of God,
You must overcome the world,

Die to fame and reputation, take the path that Jesus trod,

2. If you would be a pillar in the church of God,
You must triumph over sin,

And be cleansed from every evil through the Savior’s precious blood,
If you would be a pillar in the church of God.

3. If you would be a pillar in the church of God,
You must conquer in His name,
You must conquer in His name;
Take the holy Bible way, and live beneath the cleansing flood,
If you would be a pillar in the church of God.
