From the winter’s breath, at morning’s early hours,
Through the freezing wind that’s passing by,
On windowpanes grow beautiful ice flowers,
That stirs in me a longing for the Sky.

The light pours forth in crystalline array,
Through the cold glass, smoky clouds appear,
It snows with flakes of love and grace today,
While I, with eyes in tears, await You here!

Though it’s cold and frosty just outside my door,
Within me burns Your Holy Spirit’s flame,
New spring flowers bloom forevermore,
And I, with joyful tears, now sing Your Name!
