Introducere – Introduction
Într-un fel capitolul 6 ne vorbește despre o autoritate stabilită de Dumnezeu și care trebuie s-o respectăm printr-o viață de disciplină, cu El și cu semenii, la o luptă cu căpeteniile, domniile, stăpânitorilor întunericului acestui veac, a duhurilor răutății din locurile cerești, până la versetul 17 cumva te îmbraci ca să fi gata de luptă, însă când ai pus coiful și ai luat sabia, oricine știa că urmează acțiune.

1. Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu este Sabia Duhului

1. The word of God is the Sword of the Spirit
What does this thing mean?
a) It means that it was inspired by the Spirit
2 Peter 1:20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
b) Înseamnă că are putere de cercetare și mântuire
Evrei 4:12. Căci Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu este viu şi lucrător, mai tăietor decât orice sabie cu două tăişuri: pătrunde până acolo că desparte sufletul şi duhul, încheieturile şi măduva, judecă simţirile şi gândurile inimii. 13. Nicio făptură nu este ascunsă de El, ci totul este gol şi descoperit înaintea ochilor Aceluia cu care avem a face.
Romani 1:16. Căci mie nu mi-e ruşine de Evanghelia lui Hristos; fiindcă ea este puterea lui Dumnezeu pentru mântuirea fiecăruia care crede: întâi a iudeului, apoi a grecului;
b) It means that it has the power of analysis and salvation
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

c) He who uses the Word must do so in Christ under the authority of the Spirit
2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
2. Cuvântul ca și sabie a Duhului, din armătură, este de importanță vitală
a) De importanță vitală pentru mine
Ps 119:105. Cuvântul Tău este o candelă pentru picioarele mele şi o lumină pe cărarea mea.
Ps 119:129. Învăţăturile Tale sunt minunate: de aceea le păzeşte sufletul meu.
2 Tim 3:14. Tu să rămâi în lucrurile pe care le-ai învăţat şi de care eşti deplin încredinţat, căci ştii de la cine le-ai învăţat; 15. din pruncie cunoşti Sfintele Scripturi, care pot să-ţi dea înţelepciunea care duce la mântuire, prin credinţa în Hristos Isus.
Iacov 1:21. De aceea lepădaţi orice necurăţie şi orice revărsare de răutate, şi primiţi cu blândeţe Cuvântul sădit în voi, care vă poate mântui sufletele. 22. Fiţi împlinitori ai Cuvântului, nu numai ascultători, înşelându-vă singuri. 23. Căci, dacă ascultă cineva Cuvântul, şi nu-l împlineşte cu fapta, seamănă cu un om care îşi priveşte faţa firească într-o oglindă, 24. şi, după ce s-a privit, pleacă şi uită îndată cum era. 25. Dar cine îşi va adânci privirile în legea desăvârşită, care este legea slobozeniei, şi va stărui în ea, nu ca un ascultător uituc, ci ca un împlinitor cu fapta, va fi fericit în lucrarea lui.
2. The word as the sword of the Spirit, in armor, is of vital importance
a) Of vital importance for me
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:129 Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.
2 Timothy 3:14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
b) De importanță vitală pentru cei din jurul meu, familie sau societate
Prov 13: Cine nesocoteşte Cuvântul Domnului se pierde, dar cine se teme de poruncă este răsplătit.
Marcu 16:15. Apoi le-a zis: „Duceţi-vă în toată lumea şi propovăduiţi Evanghelia la orice făptură. 16. Cine va crede şi se va boteza va fi mântuit; dar cine nu va crede va fi osândit.
Prov 22:6. Învaţă pe copil calea pe care trebuie s-o urmeze, şi când va îmbătrâni, nu se va abate de la ea. –
b) Of vital importance to those around me, family or society
Proverbs 13:13 Whoever scorns instruction will pay for it, but whoever respects a command is rewarded.
Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
c) De importanță vitală pentru Biserică
Evrei 12: Luaţi seama ca nu cumva să nu voiţi să ascultaţi pe Cel ce vă vorbeşte! Căci, dacă n-au scăpat cei ce n-au vrut să asculte pe Cel ce vorbea pe pământ, cu atât mai mult nu vom scăpa noi, dacă ne întoarcem de la Cel ce vorbeşte din ceruri,
2 Timotei 4:1. Te rog fierbinte, înaintea lui Dumnezeu şi înaintea lui Hristos Isus, care are să judece viii şi morţii, şi pentru arătarea şi Împărăţia Sa: 2. propovăduieşte Cuvântul, stăruie asupra lui la timp şi nelatimp, mustră, ceartă, îndeamnă cu toată blândeţea şi învăţătura. 3. Căci va veni vremea când oamenii nu vor putea să sufere învăţătura sănătoasă; ci îi vor gâdila urechile să audă lucruri plăcute şi îşi vor da învăţători după poftele lor. 4. Îşi vor întoarce urechea de la adevăr şi se vor îndrepta spre istorisiri închipuite. 5. Dar tu fii treaz în toate lucrurile, rabdă suferinţele, fă lucrul unui evanghelist şi împlineşte-ţi bine slujba.
c) Of vital importance for the Church
Hebrews 12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
3. Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu este sabia folosită în atac și apărare împotriva lucrării întunericului
Prov 30:5. Orice cuvânt al lui Dumnezeu este încercat. El este un scut pentru cei ce se încred în El. 6. N-adăuga nimic la cuvintele Lui, ca să nu te pedepsească şi să fii găsit mincinos. –
a) Este folosit ca atac și apărare împotriva satanei și demonilor
Matei 4:8. Diavolul L-a dus apoi pe un munte foarte înalt, I-a arătat toate împărăţiile lumii şi strălucirea lor şi I-a zis: 9. „Toate aceste lucruri Ţi le voi da Ţie, dacă Te vei arunca cu faţa la pământ şi Te vei închina mie.”10. „Pleacă, Satano”, i-a răspuns Isus. „Căci este scris: „Domnului Dumnezeului tău să te închini şi numai Lui să-I slujeşti.”
3. The word of God is the sword used in attack and defense against the work of darkness
Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
a) It is used as an attack and defense against Satan and demons
Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[a]”
b) Este folosit ca atac și apărare împotriva ereziilor și învățătorilor falși
Fapte 17:11. Iudeii aceştia aveau o inimă mai aleasă decât cei din Tesalonic. Au primit Cuvântul cu toată râvna şi cercetau Scripturile în fiecare zi, ca să vadă dacă ce li se spunea, este aşa.
1 Timotei 6:3. Dacă învaţă cineva pe oameni învăţătură deosebită, şi nu se ţine de cuvintele sănătoase ale Domnului nostru Isus Hristos şi de învăţătura care duce la evlavie, 4. este plin de mândrie şi nu ştie nimic; ba încă are boala cercetărilor fără rost şi a certurilor de cuvinte, din care se naşte pizma, certurile, clevetirile, bănuielile rele, 5. zadarnicele ciocniri de vorbe ale oamenilor stricaţi la minte, lipsiţi de adevăr şi care cred că evlavia este un izvor de câştig. Fereşte-te de astfel de oameni.
Filipeni 1:27. Numai, purtaţi-vă într-un chip vrednic de Evanghelia lui Hristos, pentru ca, fie că voi veni să vă văd, fie că voi rămâne departe de voi, să aud despre voi că rămâneţi tari în acelaşi duh şi că luptaţi cu un suflet pentru credinţa Evangheliei, 28. fără să vă lăsaţi înspăimântaţi de potrivnici; lucrul acesta este pentru ei o dovadă de pierzare, şi de mântuirea voastră, şi aceasta de la Dumnezeu.
b) It is used as an attack and defense against heresies and false teachers
Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
1 Timothy 6:3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
Philippians 1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, [a] striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.
Aplicarea Lecției – The application of the lesson
Dumnezeu ne spune în lecția de astăzi cât de importantă este sabia Duhului (Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu), este inspirat de Duhul, are putere de cercetare și mântuire, este vital pentru mine și cei din jur, pentru Biserică și este o parte importantă a armăturii creștinului folosit în atac și apărare.
